The Love Star Chart is based on the night sky over New York on the evening Casablanca (one of the greatest romance films of all time) premiered in the city on 26th November 1942.
The star chart features 74 films (and the names of over 200 actors, directors and producers) from the BFI's 2015 LOVE Season, from silent era classics like Murnau's Sunrise and Chaplin's City Lights through to contemporary love stories like Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain and 2014's The Fault in Our Stars.
The chart includes epic films about heartbreak and longing such as Gone With The Wind, Doctor Zhivago and Brief Encounter; cherished and light-hearted classics like Pillow Talk, Gregory's Girl and When Harry Met Sally; and the darkest tales of obsession, betrayal and danger including Fatal Attraction, Blue Velvet and True Romance.
